The Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy and Research was founded in the year 2006 under the auspices of the Azad Educational Society and is situated in the verdant region of Rajawala Selaqui in the city of Dehradun in the state of Uttarakhand. 

The institution is accredited by the Government of India and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and it is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
